Monarch or a Moth
Fearing the dangers
I've enveloped myself
a shell, a shelter
waiting for the dread to pass.
But I emerge now,
peeling back
the caccoon
of my own skin.
It's up to bonds now
whether out will come
a monarch or a moth.
I really like the metamorphosis theme you have in this piece. I also like it that there is no answer, just the question "a monarch or a moth?" This poem portrays some very real emotion, and I think there are a lot of aspects to which many people can relate. Keep up the great work.
